Air quality in Oregon received mixed grades in the American Lung Association’s State of the Air 2011 looking at levels of particle pollution (soot) and ozone air pollution (smog).

Some counties were noted as being some of Oregon’s dirtiest areas for short-term particle pollution. However the Portland Metro Area and surrounding areas fared better.

Recently, GOOD published an interactive infographic about the cleanest and dirtiest water in the nation. Of course Texas held two of the top five spots, and sadly, Florida held two of the bottom five and the dirtiest water in America features lovely ingredients such as motor fuel additives and arsenic.
